Dave Barton Shield 2021

The Shield gives those members under the age of 50 the opportunity to play for a trophy after an initial idea by your scribe was championed by Captain Bob Kay who also generously put up the funds to buy a Shield which was procured by your observer . 

Overall , a day where our younger members failed to master the course as well as their elders in a day perfect for golf with largely benign conditions . A day which saw the course bully  the youngsters with none of them beating their handicap today.
