Neil & Stewart Royle have captured their NINTH pairs titles together after emerging victorious in the clubs Bogey Pairs Championship today . Individually it was the 14th Board Competition win for Neil of which 12 have been pairs whilst Hall of Famer Stewart was celebrating his 21st. Board Competition of which 10 have been pairs .
Sadly no details have emerged as to the scoring of ANY pairs due to the fact that the competition isn’t able to be processed on the intelligent golf system . If your scribe gets access to any data he will surely produce an attention to detail report .
What can be disclosed is that the Royle brothers prevailed by just one hole from the immensely talented Caribbean duo Paul MacDonald and Howard Johnson , who were bidding for their second pairs title after their 2011 Wilson Trophies triumph whilst Howard had had the glory of winning the summer KO with DR Terris last season .
Third-placed HallofFamer Mr Captain Danny Miller and David (the Doctor) Terris were 2 holes back from the winners whilst 2018 Greatbanks winners fellow HallOfFamer Glen Rothwell and his regular partner Ged Grogan were not disgraced in 4th place .
The ‘bogey season’ thus finishes for the year with Matt Astbury victorious in the Cooper and the incredible Royle brothers Neil and Stewart taking their first Bogey trophies .
