Overall a day which again showcased the magnificent obduracy of our beloved course in restricting good scores to all but a few . Today , one of our course management savvy dogs has had their day and had the only below handicap score , deservedly dominating proceedings because he had the nous to keep the ball in play , avoid taking on any risky strokes and be careful not to be too ‘gung ho’ on his chips and putts . The magnificent Alderson has waited 6 long years to win a trophy but he took his chance with aplomb .
